This place makes its own hooch, serving 4 p.m.-midnight Tuesday-Wednesday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m. MILE HIGH SPIRITS DISTILLERY AND TASTING ROOM. $4 for a single-sized cocktail featuring a boutique infused liquor is a deal when compared to other cocktailing prices downtown. And just because it opts not to offer such belly-up bargains as $2 PBRs, the prices at Mile High Spirits are far from over the top. With Larimer Lounge, Meadowlark and the Matchbox all within walking distance, Mile High Spirits Distillery and Tasting Room is a great stop for the bar-crawl crowd. Then, in a flash, Our Pal the Liquor Snob became cranky when a bartender at Mile High Spirits failed to thoroughly answer one of his questions. This struck me as a way for them to command the crowd whilst surveying it for approachable women.
